In 2016 the employer paid $6,600,000 for a self-funded health insurance plan covering only 65% of eligible employees. Incenta identified and implemented significant plan design improvements and guided the insurance broker through negotiations with a new insurance provider. At the completion of the 3 year engagement, Incenta’s IHP™ plan design reduced overall cost to $4,400,000 and increased employee participation to 83%. The employer elected to share the significant savings with employees in the form of reduced employee health insurance premiums.
